Circle Silhouettes

Lately, I haven't been able to create as much as I would like to. My husband is working a horrible shift right now, leaving me to take care of pretty much everything around here. I'm exhausted by the time the kids get to bed. I have managed to check out my favorite sites on a regular basis, but my creative "mojo" is not flowing. I did manage to create this card last night. The inspiration for this came from a beautiful Mother's Day card my mom gave me for Mother's Day! It took a different turn than what I initially envisioned, but I'm still happy with the end result. One thing for sure, I need to get a new circle punch. Sorry, but my Creative Memories punch just isn't cutting it!!!!

All of the cards were made using the Parisian Breeze Speciality designed paper (Stampin' Up). The stamp sets are all Stampin' Up: Pocket Silhouettes, Friends 24-7 and Botanical Blooms.

Fall-Winter 2008 Stampin' Up Catalogue - Lifts!

My projects lately are alternating between cards and scrapbook pages. I have finally started Hunter's school scrapbook and finished both his JK and SK pages. I like how they turned out and will share them once I figure out how to black out the kids in his class photo.

Yesterday I went through (again!) the Fall-Winter 2008 Stampin' Up Catalogue for more ideas. I set out on a mission to create all of the cards I liked in the catalogue. I was able to finish two of the cards. The first is a lift of a thank you card on page 16 and the second is a lift of birthday card on page 4. I really had to force myself to use the supplies/tools that I have. My wish list is so incredibly long it's ridiculous. And I'm sure it will get bigger once the new catalogue comes out.

Pet Sympathy Card

My friend Marilyn lost her dog Hershey at the end of December. I have been meaning to pick-up a pet sympathy card for her, but then decided to just make one myself. I don't have any sympathy sets, so I decided to us Pocket Silhouettes. I found a sentiment online and printed it on the inside. I hope it makes her smile.
